January’s 30-Day Life Experiment is an attempt to refocus my lens of what kindness means for a city-slicker. I was raised in a place where people would help out total strangers for no reason. Having lived in cities for close to five years now, I’ve become pretty efficient at ignoring others as I go about my day: keep my head down, walk as fast as I can, and go about my day. Throughout this month I’m hoping to change my attitude by being continually aware of those around me and what I could do to make their day just a little bit better. Please feel free to share your stories and to leave suggestions on different random acts of kindness you’ve seen, you’ve done, or you’d like to see me try.
